PHENCYCLIDINE (PCP)

Slang or Street Names: Juice, Rocket Fuel, Angel Dust, Ozone
History: Phencyclidine was developed in the 1950's for use as an intravenous anesthetic for humans, until it was banned in 1965.
Identification: Phencyclidine is a white crystalline powder that can is snorted, smoked or swallowed. PCP can be packaged in capsules and taken orally, or disolved in a liquid and sprayed on tobacco, marijuana or parsley leaves for smoking.
Effects: The effects of Phencyclidine use include agitation, delusions, vomiting, loss of balance, drooling, irrational behavior, increased respiratory rate, blood pressure and pulse, as well as illusions and hallucinations.
