-TOWN PARKING PERMIT ZONES-
Town Parking Permits are available for persons living or working in the downtown area.
Downtown Residents must show proof of residency and have their vehicle registration & ID at time of purchase.
Students must be present to get their permits. (Only a parent can obtain a permit for their son/daughter if the student cannot be present). Only one permit is issued per person.
Employees working in the downtown area must bring in their vehicle registration & ID.Downtown Parking permits are sold as ZONES.
They will be sold first come/first served basis
You will only be allowed to park in the zone purchased.
The permit is valid for 6 months. (Jan-June and July-Dec)
Permit zones will be strictly enforced.
Permits are priced according to Zones.

Parking meters are enforced 9AM to 5PM - Monday through Friday. There is a 2-hour parking limit at the metered spaces on Main Street from East Street to West Street, including Market Square.
NO PARKING on Main Street (including Market Square) between the hours of 2AM-5AM every day.
EXPIRED METER TICKETS are $10.00. ( A $5.00 discount is given if the ticket is paid at the station within 30 minutes of the time of issue.)
If a ticket is not paid within 20 days from issue date of ticket, a citation will be issued, which will result in additional costs.
Credit Card Payments are available on our website at www.bloompd.com.
Clerks can not excuse parking tickets. Parking enforcement officers will discuss ticket discrepancies the last half hour of their shifts which is generally Monday –Thurs 3:30 – 4:00PM. They do not make phone calls about tickets.
Clerks do NOT return long distance phone calls in reference to parking tickets. Our clerks are on duty to answer your questions Monday - Friday 8AM - 6.
Forms of Payment: The Bloomsburg Police Department will accept cash (not preferred), checks, money orders, certified checks and credit cards for payment of fines and fees. No loose unwrapped change currency will be accepted. Coin currency must be wrapped and marked with the person's name and telephone number. Coin currency less than a quarter will not be accepted for payment unless wrapped in an appropriate money wrapper.
Street sweeping is enforced either 12AM - 6AM or 8AM - 3PM (read signs on your block for times) Monday through Friday, from April through November. Ticketing begins in April for 3 weeks, then once a week all spring and summer until October, then from the 3rd week in October, every week to Thanksgiving. The street sweeping schedule is posted on our NEWS AND INFORMATION page on this site. The weeks they sweep are the shaded weeks in the Recycling Calendars as well. Look for the sign on your street for the day to move your vehicle. Street Sweeping fines are $20.00.
EMERGENCY SNOW REMOVAL PARKING LOT PROCEDURES
After a "significant" snowfall, a schedule of snow removal will be posted on this website on the NEWS AND INFORMATION page, Bloomsburg University' s Today Page, our local radio station (930AM) and newspapers. Information designates dates and times of snow removal for each lot. Vehicles not moved from the parking lots prior to plowing are subject to a $50.00 fine and towing at the owner's expense. (Ordinance #894, effective 3/27/06)
